Flickr is a photo-sharing website and online community with over 100 million users and billions of photos and videos. While it’s great for sharing photos with friends, family, and others, there may come a time when you want to download some or all of your Flickr photos.

In this article, we’ll show you how to download your Flickr photos in a few easy steps.

Step 1: Create an Account

If you don’t have a Flickr account, the first thing you need to do is create one. You can create an account by visiting the Flickr website and clicking on the “Sign Up” button.

Once you’ve created an account, you’ll need to login.

To login, visit the Flickr website and enter your email address and password into the login form located in the top right corner of the page. Once you’ve entered your login information, click on the “Login” button.

If you don’t have a Flickr account but want to try it out before creating one, we recommend using the Yahoo! Photobucket 6-Month Free Trial. This will give you access to all of Flickr’s features for free for 6 months.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be taken to your home page, which will look something like this.

From here, you can start uploading photos, browsing photos, adding friends, and more.

Step 2: Find Photos You Want to Download

Now that you have a Flickr account and have logged in, it’s time to find some photos that you want to download. You can do this by visiting and clicking on the “Explore” link in the top navigation bar./> You can also find photos by searching for them directly on Flickr using keywords or by browsing through album covers. Once you’ve found some photos that you want to download, it’s time to move on to step 3!

How to Download Your Flickr Photos

If you’re not sure how to download your Flickr photos, you’re in luck. This guide will show you how to download your photos from Flickr using the site’s built-in photo downloader, as well as a desktop application.

To download photos using the Flickr website: 1. Log into your Flickr account and click on “Your Account” in the top right corner of the page. 2. Click on “Downloads” on the left side of the page. 3. Click on the “Download all your public photos” link. 4. Select the format you want to download your photos in and click “Download.”

The Flickr website’s photo downloader is fairly easy to use, but it does have some limitations. For example, you can only download up to 500 photos at a time and you can only download up to 2 GB of data per day. If you want to download more than 500 photos or need more than 2 GB of data per day, you’ll need to use a desktop application like Fliclickr or Picasa.

Fliclickr is a free desktop application that lets you download up to 50 MB of data per day from Flickr, and Picasa is a paid desktop application that lets you download an unlimited amount of data from Flickr (among other photo hosting sites).

To use Fliclickr: 1. Download and install Fliclickr. 2. Run Fliclickr and enter your Flickr username and password. 3. In the left sidebar, click on “Photosets.” 4. Select the photoset(s) you want to download and click “Export.” 5. Select the format you want to export your photos in and click “Export Selected Photos.” 6. Wait for Fliclickr to finish exporting your photos and then click “Done.” 7. Open your Downloads folder and double-click on the exported ZIP file(s) to unzip them. 8. Move the unzipped files to where you want them stored on your computer and enjoy!

To use Picasa: 1. Download, install, and open Picasainstallation file (.exe). You can also get it here .) If prompted with an “Add Google Photos” window during installation, select “No thanks” or “Skip this step” – we don’t actually support importing from Google Photos yet . 2.) Once installed, open Picasa . It will import any albums found on your computer from previous versions of Picasa , including any folders labeled with “Google Photos Library” (note: these are not automatically synchronized – more about this later) . If this doesn’t happen automatically upon opening Picasa for the first time after installation, look under File > Import From… > Google Photos Library . 3.) Next , sign in with your Gmail account username and password if you haven’t already . This logs you into both Google Accounts & Picasa Web Albums at the same time , so changes made in either place will show up in both places (handy!) . 4 .) Finally , select Tools > Get More Plugins… > Flickr Downloader Plugin …to install our plugin (or just go here ) . After it installs , restart Picasa . 5 .) You should now see a new tab in Picasa labeled “Flickr Uploader” – this is where we do all our downloading from Flickr ! 6 .) To start downloading photos , select one or more albums by clicking on their checkboxes (you can also select individual photos by ticking their boxes) . Once selected , click on either theDownload button at the top of the screen or Export > Download Selected Items… below it –either way will give you a dropdown menu where you can choose what format to save them as (more about this below) 7 .) That’s it ! After selecting an album or individual photo(s) for downloading , sit back & relax while Picasa downloads them all – just be patient , especially if downloading a lot at once …it could take awhile 😉 8 .) As always , we recommend saving downloaded items somewhere other than your computer’s default Pictures folder …just in case something happens to that pesky C:\ drive (or whatever yours is named).
